Network update part 1: Custom router with espressobin
I wanted to replace my pfSense VM with a dedicated router so I could take my homelab offline without losing internet connectivity, so I bought an Espressobin
Get your ram configuration
Connect the espressobin with the supplied micro usb cable and connect to the serial device that pops up. In my case I used

Download correct U-Boot image
For my initial testing I wanted to use Debian, but as there is no current image available I'll just use armbian.
Download your image from Here and put it in a FAT-formatted usb drive.
bubt flash-image-MEM-RAM_CHIPS-CPU_DDR_boot_sd_and_usb.bin spi usb
the armbian image to the same usb drive and run

Being able to run
on my router allowed me to investigate and map my network. I wrote a script to dectect connections going to the internet and to my 'old' (192.168.1.0/24) network.
I'll come back to this in a post dedicated to monitor the network.
